It looks like ford isn't going to cover it because I had and edge evo tuner on my truck. Man I am getting the **** end of the stick today.

does the tuner change anything in the trans or is it just engine management?

I thought you removed it before you took it to ford?

don't most of the tuners today have the ability to change it back to stock?

I did change it back to stock and I removed it but they can see if it has been reflashed apparently. Oh and my "road side assistance" doesn't cover towing like I was told when I bought the warranty. F team ford.

did you buy it used? I would have just played dumb, afterall it is not really like it could fry the transmission. It is not like you have been towing a 5th wheel all over the mountain passes around here.

Anyways, the family is coming out to visit us in October and we are going to ditch them with the kids. We are thinking about heading up to Mammoth for a few days. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to stay. I was thinking about Tahoe due to the fact that the coast guard has a station up there and they have 2 A-frame cabins that you can rent for 55-65 a night depending on rank... but that would be an additional 6 hours driving round trip. Just a little bit too far for a 2 night stay.
