They always cast the worst people for "car" related TV shows. Top Gear US is a prime example I can deal with the Tanner guy that rally races. It's Fatso McGee and the not funny comedian that ruin the show. I thought it would be on fox demand and it isn't. I'll keep an eye out for it thru the week.

If you google him, it looks like he races exotics in real life, and I don't see anything to suggest that he has any bona fides with offroading.
I am guessing one of those people is me.

so I got the new little catalog type pamphlet from 4wd.com yesterday and I was browsing through it and for some odd reason something trivial caught my eye. In the tire section the description of the Goodyear Wranger MT/R tire starts off with "Standard equipment on the new Jeep Wrangler Rubicon." Not that I find it hard to believe that Jeep would move away from the BFG KM1... because mine are chunking pretty bad at 16k, but I cannot find anywhere else that says this aside from this catalog. Even the pictures of the new 2013's with those nasty looking wheels on the Rubicons still have KM1's.

If this is the direction that they are going I cannot wait for the winter catalog to come out. They will have some new bumper by Rugged Ridge with the description "Heavy duty bumper which was a direct knock off of Khris's design. Also used on the next generation Mars rover!! *** Some body modification and drilling required"

The Goodyear Wrangler MT/R was the standard equipment on TJ Rubicons. I actually didn't know that when the JK came out they swapped over to BFG's. If they were to put everything like that in there you would see stuff like the Sway-Loc swaybar saying it was a direct knock off of Blaine Johnsons design or the Pro-Comp front bumper that was a direct knock off of John Curries design and had a direct result of putting Currie out of the bumper making game.

So last week, I told my supervision that what they had planned for this week would never work. They told me that everything would be fine, we will make it work. I come in this morning to find everything from yesterday ****ed six ways to Sunday. If that wasn't bad enough, they want me to fix what I can't fix because it can't work. And now today is more of the same but on a bigger scale. They already have a change to the schedule out for today that can't work because the equipment is already in use at the time somewhere else.

I now have a headache from trying to explain to them why it won't work. Anybody want to guess what response I got?

I noticed something else ... I'm helping a buddy shop for a jeep, and the new Rubicons don't all come with 4.10's standard. The autos come with 3.73's (though you can upgrade to 4.10's). Very odd.

Yeah, with the new engine the 3.73's are good. Some are actually saying that the additional power and new trans make the 4.10's doable for 35's. I just do not know what they were thinking with the new wheels. The only good thing that I can see if the added valve stem protection

It never dawned on me that they're still putting KM1's on those jeeps. I thought BFG was getting away from that tire but they're obviously still supplying them. I've actually got to run over to the dealer here in a few minutes to check fitment of a part.

Greg, outta curiosity do you happen to live or work near chapman jeep in henderson? and if so, is yours stick or auto transmission?
