I figured since the other thread started out as talking about making a club, and what clubs are available, we should have a thread that's just dedicated to setting up trail runs.
The title says it all, and it'll be less cluttered.
So, the 9/18/10 Run to Potato Ridge was a success!
Next item on the schedule is Logandale on 10/23/10 according to McRoberts. Seems like we have a few interested parties! Who all is planning to attend?
If there is anything in the meantime, or someone local wants another rig to ride with them, just post up and see if anyone is available!
Okay guys, looks like some folks are wanting to hit the trails.
How's next weekend look? (Weekend of the 4th). Yojik and i had kinda planned a small run, my girl has the weekend off, so it'd be nice to get a few jeeps out on a lil trail.
My waggy hasn't had its heart transplant yet, so I'd still like to keep it fairly basic, but I'm open to suggestions. I know a few of you all just did wheeler pass, but I havent been in a while and thats a nice basic run. But, I dont know of many easy trails like that out here.
So, Sunday would be best for me...but i could always make Saturday work if need be.
In for next weekend. Wheeler's Pass sounds cool. There is also Titus canyon, which is a bit of a drive and we would want to check to see if it is still open this time of year.
I'm ready to meet up with some of you guys, but Super Bowl Sunday won't work for me either .......In the mean time, can anyone post or pm me directions to some of these local trails?
Also, what are the "laws" about getting off the pavement. I live near Sunset and Ft. Apache, and if I go to the end of Sunset, the pavement ends and there are some roads that go off into the mountains. I just didn't know if I would get in trouble if I went exploring.

As far as I know that area is off limits to OHV use. If you do venture to that area steer clear of the trail that runs along the north face of the mountain. Between Hualapai and Fort Apache. It is treacherous. I have seen a half dozen vehicles recovered from there.
There is an abandoned Blazer up on Potato Ridge that needs to be removed. I am planning to go up there on Saturday. Going to meet at Chevron @ Rainbow and Blue Diamond around 9am and leave at 930am

There's a ranger who patrols those roads out near ft apache and sunset. But he's easily avoided. There's alot of little fun trails. There's one you can see from the road. It's up a little hill. Not quite a mountain. But I've done it. And you'd probably want some lockers. There's also some old caves.

I'm pretty sure all OHV use is prohibited within the valley? People still do it, and most of them get away with it, but a dust fine is no joke man ($$$)
There's a document with the specific boundaries somewhere on the BLM site.
Yea, I'm not trying to go anywhere i'm not supposed to. And certainly don't want to mess with any fines.
Do you guys ever get together and hit up Logandale? I went to H&B when I first moved here and had a blast but I don't know the area up there well enough to not get lost lol.
I'm down for going mostly anywhere, but honestly if it's just a dusty/rocky road and a few small hills, i'd rather not go, unless there is some really good scenery or cave hunting ect. on that drive.

Yea I saw that when I was up there this weekend...
