Southern/Central Coast anyone?

I moved from Ohio to the south-ish (Lompoc) California area a few months ago and was hoping to get some insight on where to go wheeling between Santa Barbara and SLO areas? I'm open for some Jeeping and ATV trails. Any ideas on where to go would be great!

So far I know of the Pismo sand dunes. I heard of some Los Padres areas but not exactly sure where to go or if its even legal.

But my Jeep just got here last week and I'm itching to give the new tires a try! As soon as I can get it to pass smog tests lol. They failed it on 4 accounts (cold air intake, throttle body spacer, and a couple of ECU crap). So far I'm bitter about C.A.R.B. and nervous about taking the Jeep to the DMV to get inspected, they seem to be some tight wads when it comes to cars NOT stock.

Any help would be great!

I'm in SLO. There aren't very many places around here except Oceano Dunes, and Garcia Ridge.

I ran a search for ya. I live in Pasadena CA and have to drive at least an hour to get to some offroading myself. Hope this helps. I have been to gorman and frequent Frazier Park area as well as Lockwood valley.
