Question So whos all going to PVD this year?

PVD or Panamint Valley Days will be held November 8-10 near Trona CA again this year and it's the 28th time it's been held. I went last year and had a great time and the club I belong to, The Gear Grinders 4WD Club, will be the trail boss for several runs each day. I will be taking my little camp trailer and be there for all 3 days. Might even have my daughter with me depending on her work and school load.

So whos in??

Well I guess nobody here likes organized runs put on by CA4WDC, too bad. Either that or you have all been everywhere in the Panamints and Death Valley.

If it wasn't so far out there I'd be going, but it's a long haul from Los Angeles. You need to make it up to my Big Bear run one of these days. Say hi to the rest of the club.

Hey Terry how you doing? You know you can always make a weekend of it?
It seems like the weekends that the club plans are holiday weekends and I do have to spend SOME time with the wife!

Hey Jeff!

Where are you guys going to camp?
Over in the pinnecles? or out in the open areas? Is the trails going to be ok for my 2wd Cherokee?
I'm down to that now, because of my insurance premiums getting so high with 4 vehicles to insure.

We will be camping off of the paved Neadu (sp) road in the Panamint Valley. There may be a few runs a 2WD could make but if you want the full info go to www.cal4wheel.com and see what you can find. There is a contact name and number you could call as well.

Good to hear from ya Steve!

Well we have 1 week to PVD and I can't wait. Our club will be hosting several runs again this year and of course I will be helping out by being the tail of the group. I am looking forward to trails I have heard of but never done. Hope to see you there!

I remember a kid winning a bike and riding around in the dark with it.All Cal4wd events have great organized runs and good raffles and good people.By the way we won the BFG's at HDR this year so I love their raffles.Your YJ is set up pretty nice,we'll see you out there and maybe do a run together.

To those that made it I hope you had as much fun as I did, did Snow Canyon and the Minnietta Cabin on Friday, Pleasant Canyon on Saturday and a club run to the Defense Mine and Lookout City on Sunday. I even did the zero waterfall on the way to the Defense Mine, that was a blast!

To those that did not make it sorry you missed a great time and the weather was perfect! Highs in the mid 70's all three days and NO wind!
