Sierra Nevadas - Yosemite area trail recommendations?

Hello folks!
Looking to head up from Southern California to hike yosemite falls via porcupine trail head starting 10pm this Monday night. I would love to head up to the area Sunday night, and have some 4x4 time on Monday. Are there any good moderate trail recommendations not TOO far from 120 tioga pass road? Looking to consume a better part of the day.
I have a 2000 TJ, lifted, 33 mt tires, self recovery. No lockers.
I am not certain of a permit system in the area, or what exact areas any wildfires maybe closing. Hopefully someone who frequents the area has some insight

I was sitting in a tap room today...

Some guy I have never met, told me about "Shut Eye Ridge". It's supposedly just south of Yosemite. I looked it up, and it seems like a dirt road. But he said it had a lot of rocks on it.

This dude does a pretty thorough writeup on Shuteye Peak:

Was gonna go there a few weekends ago, but got routed around the Yosemite Forest Fire in the wrong direction. Let us know how it is!
