I'm down for Thursday. What trail are you guys tackling?

Last time I went up to Santiago Peak my fuel pump cut out at the top on the way down. Apparently the wiring to the pump tore somehow. I ended up having my buddy tow-strap me all the way down. lol

Oh, okay, some people just refer to that entire area as "Silverado Canyon". I'm not much of a fan of dirt roads so maybe I won't go.

More than likely you guys will go up Maple Springs Rd. and head up to Santiago Peak (highest point in OC) where all the radio towers are.

Not a problem. Any time is fine....I do have to check on next week, though. I think some of my amatuer students are fighting in a tournament and I have to go coach. I'll know for sure in a couple days.

Oh...and the run can be as long as we make it. The whole thing (from Silverado to Ortega) can take upward of 3 hours. You can turn off in different directions....head back to Silverado...whatever...and it can adjust the time).

Yep! I talked to the lady that lives at the last house right before the trail-head and she told me stories of people having to sleep in their trucks for a few days until the rangers opened the gates back up.

edit - Anyone here up for Cleghorn some time soon? I've never been there and I've been dying to go after seeing all kinds of pics and videos of the trail.

Next week might work for me too, in the afternoon? Any dirt time is good dirt time!

The only thing I know is ... I know nothing!!

Insert clever saying by someone well known here...

Screw it. I'll join in on the Silverado Canyon trip. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread for the info.
