Any more upgrades would make it not a very good daily driver. So now im looking to start a new project with more power and more room. I would do wrangler, but im not a fan of short wheelbases and the LJ is out of my price range for now.

depends on how much i can sell my XJ for, and how much i find a ZJ for, but im drifting towards getting a motorcycle.

And im also getting tired of dealing with the little things that you cant really fix with my jeep.

You think the XJ is bad, wait till you step up to the zj and all of its "issues"

As much as I like my ZJ, they just aren't built for hardcore off roading. An XJ is "better" but still takes ALOT of fab work to become anything hardcore. I've invested a pretty good chunk of change to have a middle of the road toy, but it does haul the whole family comfortably.

that is precisely what im looking for. something i can moderately build for the average trail, has plenty of power, and can comfortably take 4 or 5 on a road trip.

the XJ lacks comfort for the backseats and lacks power.

have you been in the back of a zj? Not dissimilar to an xj.

The power thing i can kinda understand, but the cost of building a new to you zj to your liking > power mods to your 4.0
