Have any of you done this route? It looks like basically driving a regular dirt road unless you want to go off route and do some more difficult stuff. My WJ has a 2.5" spring lift", 242, and 31" Dynapro ATMs.

I'm hoping to introduce her to wheeling and do some other trips throughout Cali.
Holy jim doesnt actually connect to the main divide unless youre hiking. I ended up having to back up over a mile after i tried lol. I gave up after a dirtbike ahead of me gave up. All fun side stuff at trabuco canyon has been fenced off, except for the road that supposedly connects to main divide. Its a fun, rough road.

Thanks, looking at Google Earth it appears I need to start Main Divide down near Ortega if the gate is open and drive up to Silverado from there. Is that gate closed most of the year?

the gates are ususally only closed after some rain, the rain makes the trails unstable so they keep them closed until it is deemed safe. there is a website around somewhere that shows what gates are opened or closed. i forgot where but a few minutes on google could get it.

I went a couple miles up the road on the left hand side of trabuco. We got to a wash out.. Going up hill.. Drop off on the left and a big hump then drop pushing you into the drop off. Fun trail though. Better then anything trabuco has left.

Yeah thats a fun road, but be careful in the beginning. That first switchback is a doozie!
