When you rebuild the trac lock. Over pack it and use the pattern from the mustang guys. Mine is reaally tight and acts like a locker. Downside is it will die faster but in the mean time I have really good traction. Lol. I also used the ford racing clutch packs. Be sure to soak your new shims in gear oil for a night or two. Also the z spring clip thing in the LS is a ***** to get in. I used two stainless hose clamps to compress it so I could smash it in place. I'm not sure if replacing bearings will cause your gear pattern to change or not. What have you heard?

Well here's what im doing.

replacing all bearings and seals. Gears and the clutch pack is staying. All im doing to the clutch pack is changing the order and adding a .015" shim. The kit i got comes with marking compound so i can properly adjust the backlash and the pinion. For the clutch spring, I heard some use channel-locks with vice pliers on the handle. As for installation of the bearings, I need to buy a big bench vise to press those.

I'll see if I have any left over clutches and bring em buy. That way you can at least dump some of the worn out clutches. I tried the vise grips... Hose clamps worked the best. I have a press in my garage and bigger one at the fab shop if you need it.

Does anyone know of a place in Orange County that sells military style battery terminals? I don't really want any of the gold stuff from autozone.

I was wondering what kind of trailer is custom made for a ZJ and no other vehicle will fit on it... I was looking forward to the pic also.

.

Life with Christ can be explained like a Jeep...
Being in the Word... grows your tire size.
Prayer... gains more ground clearance.
Fellowship... Is like having a good spotter.

The more of these you have... the easier it is to get over obstacles in your path.
