Can any of u OC guys tell me whats involved in cali when u start changing chassis or buckets? How does it work with the Title? at what point are you considered a salvage or resto? Specifically considering trying to find a used chassis for my 74 cj5. Also how far off is a 69 steel body to a 74 chassis to change out? I stupidly purchased a corkscrewed rust bucket on ebay. Still like the damn thing though

Penciled in date of may 14th. for bullfrog trail in johnson valley. Pretty solid on that weekend but maybe Sunday if not sat but... sat is the preferred day.

Life with Christ can be explained like a Jeep...
Being in the Word... grows your tire size.
Prayer... gains more ground clearance.
Fellowship... Is like having a good spotter.

The more of these you have... the easier it is to get over obstacles in your path.

Haha won't be the first time, that's how most of my river trips turn out. How long does it take you to get there and back? Also, my main off roading buddy and his zj will still be in high school so idk if he'll want to go, gotta pick someone else to take. Idk anyone else that has a decent 4x4. My dad has a TJ but it's not built for Moab

I might be up for that! I've never ran it. I've seen lots of pics and videos though. Only thing is I'm open front, limited slip rear, and stock gearing. If you don't mind me tagging along and possibly needing a tug or 2 I'd love to run that trail finally.

don't worry, if your transfer case shifter breaks like mine did at cleghorn you can count on trevino to give a push up a hill or two!

It's gonna take you a good 12hrs MapQuest says less but they don't factor in stops for gas and the mountains that you go thru

I'm one of the GSW planners, and just wanted to make sure you know that GSW trail runs are limited to Grand Cherokees only, so anyone you bring either needs to drive one on the trails or ride with you. Hate to have you bring someone with another model and not be able to go on our runs with it. Nothing wrong with TJs, CJs, etc., but we just limit this event to Grands only.

You should check out the trail run selections for Saturday and Sunday. Sunday runs are usually short ones due to most people heading home. As Rick said, that's a long drive for a day and a half, but GSW is a blast! Hope to see you there.

I'm leaving the OC early Tuesday morning and meeting up with another socal ZJ and one from norcal in Barstow, then heading on to Moab together. Should take us about 12-13 hours.

Thanks man. It's lookin like i won't be able to go. That's a lot of gas $ to push my 5.9 out there for a day and a half. My good buddy down the street and his ZJ can't make it either. Maybe i'll decide to take another buddy that can ride with me but not sure. Definitely gonna be planning some local trips this summer though if any of you guys are interested.
