Trying to plan a trip to Big Bear tomorrow (Sat 11/26). New to SoCal so it'll be my first time. Not sure which trails to hit or what to expect. Anybody down or already planning on going out there?

PM me or reply!

Not sure. Would like to make a day trip out of it, but I'm in West LA (culver city) so that'd entail me leaving around 9 or so. Where you at?

At this point I'm thinking about hitting up Azusa Canyon instead - much more accessible from these parts with very little planning involved.

Hi everyone,

Is there a reputable shop in the LA area where I can have work done on my Jeep? Thanks.

If you are up for a little bit of a drive, you can call up Mr. Blaine out in Quail Valley. He works out of his house, but he does things absolutely right, and he really knows TJs.

If you want close, the only place I've been to close is Dirty Parts in Culver City, they seemed to do a good job, though they seem to focus more on Toyotas from what I can tell. (could be wrong, but I always see Toyota the at the store)

What are you looking to have done? If you want to do it yourself, I'm sure some folks would be willing to help. I'm not the greatest mechanic in the world, but I could offer my driveway if a few folks want to help.

Check out "Brothers 4x4" too. They've got ads all over craigslist, and I haven't been to them, but they quoted me dirt cheap for re-gearing and a locker.

Best trip to Calico so far, hate to leave. We ( Black0rifle, Clg82, Jen, my brother and I )worked these jeeps hard this weekend, ran some good trails. Clg82 will be posting video, and pictures when he gets home and recuperates .
Gonna have to plan another trip so everyone can come out. Maybe a couple of weekends from now?

I might be up for it if my jeep is ready to go, and I'm not working. As it is right now, I think my shocks are going to bottom out before the bumpstops do, I need to get the new bumpstops in there, I don't think I can jerry rig them myself any more than they already are.

No set date yet anyways, i just got home. We ran some hardcore obstacles yesterday ( at least for us ), not sure what the trail names were, or if they're even named? Then this morning we ran Odessa before hitting the road.
