How you guys coping with this damn wind?
Here in Lk. L.A., it's blowing like a mudder duck! Has been for about a week!
The dust clouds are huge looking your way!
I'm at about 180th east, and Palmdale Blvd, so looking at the mtns, or up towards Wrightwood, it's nasty.

All I gotta do is fire a flare into the air and you'd see it, you're about 5 minutes away roughly. I see your house everyday I'm heading down Johnson.

There's not much wind over here near Johnson and Duncan where the train tracks are. There was quite a bit a couple days ago though!

You can't see my house from Johnson. Haha. I know you live somewhere around there. Just never saw the van or the jeep outside.

It's been breezy for a week up here, calms down in the evening though. Other than the smoke from the Santa Clarita fire today it's been clear up here. I'm at about 5,000' elevation, near the top of Beekley Rd. Looking across the desert floor it's been pretty nasty looking, dust is so thick it looks like thick fog.

I have been building forms for a new sidewalk, and porch on the front of my place, so have been out in the dust for a week, and my nose is like black coal inside when I blow it.
Tommorrow I get to finish the grade, and then I can pour.

Have I said I hate to dig...I HATE TO DIG!!

And just to make the area level, I had to dig like a gopher, so my poor back is calling for some more pain killer....now where is that bottle of JD?

The only thing I like about construction was being a heavy equipment operator. The builders would just come to us and have us grade **** with the dozer.

Then we'd **** off somewhere and go get drunk before the battalion assembles for evening muster.

I need to do some more concrete work around here. I'll probably have it done though, too big a job for me.
