To get in some good wheeling you really need to get up into the high desert. Gonna have to plan a Saturday trip up here. Starting to cool off, this is when we hit the trails almost every Saturday. Have you guys been to Calico?

Just got back from running some fire roads up around Wrightwood.

We should plan out a weekend at Calico. For those of you that never been there it's out by Barstow. It's a awesome area with trails rated easy to extreme. You guys would dig it there. If it isn't to hot I'm thinking about about going there in a week or so. They have a pretty nice camp ground there.

Where am I located,

I,m about 95 miles from Carson near Wrightwood, just south of hwy 138, 2 miles west of hwy 2, or 10 miles west of I-15. The view from my patio looking North I can see El Mirage dry lake, Black Butte, and Saddle Back Butte. If that helps you?

Yeah weekends are the only time I could do it also. I'd leave out Friday after work and set up my toy hauler in the camp ground. They get like $25.00 a night. For those who tent camp, Calico Camp ground has nice bathrooms with showers.

Not all over the panamint. I need to join a club of jeepers so I have other people to wheel with. You come out here often?

Haven't yet but I'm planning to this year. My buddies run Panamint every year, they usually spend a entire week out there camping out of there jeeps.

Jeeping alone isn't safe.

There is a really cool get together in November called panamint valley days Friday-Sunday camping and wheeling. And keeping in panamint valley with no cell phone service and the Mohave desert definitely is a no no.

I'm gonna bounce over to the classified section to see if they have a 06 rubicon unlimited for sale on there. We're wanting to buy a second Jeep. Be back later.
