Stronger wind this morning then we've seen all week. Damn it, how am I suppose to enjoy my day off welding, and working in these conditions ? If it's still blowing like this after breakfast I may try to catch up with Rckrwlers run?

Hmmm... It's dead calm down here by the coast. I wonder if that's any indication for you...

It's been breezy up here all week. It's a little stronger today though.

Another Saturday working on this swing away fuel can / ice chest rack. I'm not sure I like it. Lol. Maybe I'll like it better once it's painted and mounted tomorrow ?

It looks good. Thats basically what i wanted to do with my Jeep except id keep the spare on the carrier. Have a cooler rack ontop that comes off.

Thanks, I was fine with a 33" tire back there but when I went to 35"s I had to hack off the jack mount, and fuel can mount I had on it to get the 35 on. Then the 35" tire just seemed like to much on this tire carrier. The slop in the spindle was getting worse with the 35 back there. I love the tire inside, jack inside, rack combo I have now. Just figured I'd rather have the ice chest outside this way I wouldn't have to constantly unzip the rear window just to get a cold drink.

I'd of built this a little different if I had a tube bender. I kinda pictured it in my head with everything on the swing away built out of round stock.

Oh yeah, this rack swing away is solid now. Of you grab it and shake it the whole jeep shakes.
