King of the hammers is coming up next week in lucerne valley, good time to check out the desert.

Welcome, don't be afraid, it's only bacon they get squirrelly about. Wheeling is much more tame.

Just north of Hungry is Frazier mountain, there's some fun stuff up there. If you like hill climbs, there's Rowher Flats just north on the 14

I don't know of many other LA county places. Outside of LA county there's lots of stuff. The Mojave Desert (redrock canyon) calico, big bear, Lucerne Valley (Cougar buttes), and others.

I totally understand the bacon part! Ha. And thanks for all the welcomes. I will for sure check out KOH. Living un the mountains like I do I'd like to try out some different terrain but not have to deal with Pismo... Do you guys meet up and go wheeling?
