In cases like that turn of engine, stick it in second gear start engine and drive off, turn engine of at traffic lights restart in gear and just shift without the clutch, will get ya home in a pinch

Welp.. I committed to no spare on the back. Made a sweet little 3rd brake light, just gotta paint the bracket and clean up some wiring inside when its light out. $7 total.

Ya gonna mount the tire on the roof?

I love the look, but hate being out on the trail without a spare. And since my wife and kids usually wheel with me, I need all 4 seats - no tire inside.

My spare lays flat in my tub. I ditched the back seat years ago and don't carry much stuff. Whatever I do carry can sit on top of the spare. I will just ratchet it down until I can come up with a nice mount.

Feels like the jeep rides a tad better with it right over the axle too so that's always good

Am thinking of building a rack to out my spare underneath and my dogs on a pillow on the top. Back seat is out.

Yep, i think it would leave enough headroom for my puppies and they still can be comfy. Passangerseat is for storage too since i go mostly solo anyways...

F*ck the 3rd brake light, you'll never get pulled over for that.

But high five for loosing the spare off the end of the jeep. I like wheeling with the spare in the tub, less to get hung up on. I bent the crap out of my spare tire holder, so now I just put the tire in the tub when I'm offroading hard. If I need interior space for long trips, then I'll bolt the spare tire carrier to the tub and put it back there. only takes a little bit to do. Maybe 1 beer's worth of time
