I had asked maaco about my old doors and they wanted 300 bucks to paint them. I said f*ck that I can buy new doors for a little more than that. There's a couple websites out there that have factory color rattle cans based on a few digits of your VIN. I used them to pain my dash silver and the color looks great, the rushed paint job not so much.

300? Holy crap, I thought that's what they used to charge for painting an entire car (if you did the prep work)

For an actual paint job, not rattle cans. The paint, thinner, and hardener alone would cost you at least two hundred. Stop being a tight *** Gregory.

Here's Greg's paint job on his first car.

^^^ lmao that was my daily driver when my trans am was getting impractical due to me modding the **** out of it. Still one of my favorite cars. Took one hell of a beating. And the mullet wig went great with it.

That rattle can job looked like **** and lasted maybe 3 months.

I may go to a Maaco and talk to them tomorrow or maybe a little privately owned body shop.

That was a late 80's Toyota tercel. Bought it for $350, fixed the $30 clutch issue, drove it like a rally car, then sold it a year later for $600.

Hey!! That output seal is getting replaced this weekend and the driveshaft is going back in, its bugging the **** out of me need to prepare the rig for big bear, they'll be open in no time. Need front driveshaft, new heater core, new tires, and I'd like to install the new exhaust manifold I've had for a year.
