I'm in the oakhurst area just north of fresno.

Anyone in the fresno area wanna do some wheeling? Just got my tj going and I'd like to have some fun.

Jeepers do it in the mud. ;)

Anyone know of any descent trails up past Oakhurst open this time of the year? Thinking about heading up there in the morning.

Not really. Don't generally go that way to wheel. What do you mean by 'descent'? Rock crawling? There may be some trail area open around Blue Canyon that doesn't have snow... but I do not know for sure. I've never been there in winter.

I mean anything where 4 wheel drive is required. Went up a few months ago and didn't really find anything a 2 wheel drive truck couldn't conquer but was cool just to tool around. A few weeks ago we messed around at Jose Basin and Bald Mountain but until everything up past Shaver opens back up I'm just looking for somewhere close to waste a day.

There are 4x4 trails in the Blue canyon area if ya know where they are. Unless actually ya know, they are purdy hard to explain where they are at.

I wonder if the trails will open early due to the lack of snow? I really hope so!

Sadly... that is how it USED to be...

Sorry, I know this isn't PRC, but there are too many greenies in the USFS now a days for that to happen! You know, we have to protect that stupid little frog... that no one has ever seen be endangered by a Jeep... b/c someday one just might happen to travel miles and miles to cross a 4x4 trail and then get smooshed.
