mojavedave, you are located very close to me. How often do you go wheeling?

Not often enough. But, that's going to change this spring. Although I will devoting a lot of my wheeling adventure time to the Red Rock and Goler areas. Mostly because of a cabin restoration project I am taking on. Where do you go wheeling?

I only recently picked up the ZJ (less than two months ago) and so far the only place I have taken it is Rowher Flats on Sierra HWY. I am only in the US for 35 days at a time but I need to get it out more. I owned a 4Runner in high school (10 years ago) and used to wheel with TTORA once in a while (a friend had a Tacoma).

I think I'm going to try and get to Red Rock in May when I am home, it sounds like a blast.

We are heading out there inlate April or May for a cleanup and repair effort in Goler. Stay in touch/tune. It would be a blast! Look forward to it.

Here you go as promised my response from BLM regarding shooting at the "Shooting Area" across the road from the Edith E cabin perfectly legal within these common sense guidelines

Mr. ******

This area has not been closed to target shooting.

See below for the information you have requested. I have also included the Web address for information regarding Public Lands within the Ridgecrest Resource area. If you have any other questions please fill free to stop by the Ridgecrest Field Office at 300 S. Richmond Rd.

Also, in the past many groups have fired their guns from the cabin into the side of the hill across the designated route going into Goler Gulch. It is a violation of State law to shoot across a road that is designated for vehicle travel.

The Goler Heights area is also located in a limited use part of the resource area. This means that motorized vehicle travel is limited to designated routes that are marked with the brown, numbered signs. Any road/route that is not marked with a brown, numbered sign is considered an illegal route and is not authorized for motorized travel. No cross country vehicle travel is authorized. This includes the area around campsites.

Title 43: Public Lands: Interior

8365.1-5 Property and resources.
(1) Willfully deface, disturb, remove or destroy any personal property, or structures, or any scientific, cultural, archaeological or historic resource, natural object or area;

9212.1 Prohibited acts
Unless permitted in writing by the authorized officer, it is prohibited on the public lands to:

(b) Fire a tracer or incendiary device;

Is it lifted with bigger tires? Jeeps just suck at stopping so you know

Try pulling the ABS sensor? Some people feel they stop better. Not like you have a chance of locking up the tires lol.

I am not advising you by the way just throwing it out there

3" lift with 31's.
it does feel better after changing the booster but when I went to bleed the brakes I noticed that the rubber lines are looking like they need to be replaced. So rather then bleed them now and then again in a week doesn't make to much since since this is not a daily.

Thanks for the info.

Nickhay13-

I have a barn that is falling down on my property so I am going to have a barn dropping party this spring. It should give us some decent lumber for siding, facias, etc. I have people donating a couple doors, hinges, 2x4 and 2x6 lumber. This is gonna work out!

I am in the process of buying a house that is going to need a little work so I might be able to contribute some building materials as well.
