Rancho Cordova, CA Meet the Machines Event

Greetings Fellow Jeepers,

On May 10, 2014, the Cordova Recreation and Parks District is holding a Meet the Machines event at Mather Sports Complex. It is an event for children from the community to come out and explore and learn about different machines and vehicles.

The event is 11am-2pm

I am responsible for getting people to come out who are willing to show off different types of vehicles and equipment. I am really hoping to have a couple Jeeps or off-road vehicles in attendance.

If anyone is interested or is a member of a club and could pass along the information I would greatly appreciate it.

If there is any interest please shoot me a message here or at bcody@crpd.com

Thank you.

On Saturday, May 10, 2014 children of all ages will have an opportunity to touch, climb on, and explore an expanse of exciting machines and unique vehicles at Cordova Recreation and Park District’s (CRPD) inaugural Meet the Machines event. This FREE community event will be held at Mather Sports Center from 11am-2pm and will allow kids and adult to sit inside, pretend to operate and learn about the vehicles they usually don’t have the opportunity to be up close and personal with. The event will also feature other activities such as bounce house, games, face painting, music, food, etc.
Meet the Machines is all about “Kickin’ tires and blowin’ horns!”

CRPD is seeking a variety of vehicles to participate in the Meet the Machines event. There is no fee for exhibitors. Owners/operators of vehicles such as public service, emergency, utility, construction, maintenance, air, delivery, commercial, water, recreational and other “cool” machines are asked to volunteer a few hours to help familiarize children on what they do, how they help the community, the functionality, and/or how to enjoy it. Participation is simple for anyone wishing to volunteer a machine: complete and submit the participation form, then bring the vehicle to Mather Sports Center on the day of the event. Maps and other logistical event information will be distributed to participants prior to the event.
Meet the Machines is a great event for companies, organizations, and individuals to promote their business, group, service and self. Participants can take advantage of this exciting opportunity by distributing marketing materials, information and other items.

We hope you will consider taking part in the
Meet the Machinesevent on Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 11am-2pm at Mather Sports Center in Rancho Cordova. It is sure to be a fun day!
