Question Palomar Divide Truck Trail

Does anyone know if you can exit the Palomar Divide TT via Gomez Trail? I can't find any information on Gomez trail except for hiking. I'm taking a couple of coworkers out on a newbie trip and don't want to run in to an in and out run...
Any help on the degree of difficulty would be great also. Thanks everyone.

Look up Cleveland National Forest - Palomar District, give them a call. Then run the trail if it's allowable and report back here.

Edit - looks like that route goes through Cleveland National Forest and Palomar State Park; you might try either one for info.

I don't think so. It's been a while, but I rode up it on my dirt bike (street legal). There were locked gates here and there and no real way off the trail without getting off the road and going around the gates - which didn't look easy in most cases.

A friend told me that the gates haven't always been locked, but I agree, a call to the ranger would be best.
