Off road near pleasanton, ca - Page 4

I just looked up Loon Lake and realized it's not too far from Placerville. My mom has a vacation house in placerville that I could let the wife and kid stay at while I go tear up some trails. Nov 9....... I'm gonna try to make that!! Any other details would be awesome, meeting spots, times, so on. Maybe I can get my new tires by then

Right..... That's good to know, could have sucked planning that trip with no one else.

Might still be able to make it, but won't have my tires by then.

maybe i should not have said anything so i could get a laugh out of the thread on how your trip went and you spent the whole time trying to find everyone and going up to random people seeing if they were off jeep forums. ha maybe its just a funny mental image

That's cool. Just remember, I'm the type that doesn't get mad, I just get even.

I've only met a few people off of the forum, and 2 of them were because I had some parts for sale. It would be awesome to meet up with a few others to go wheelin'. Plus I want to see how the WJ keeps up. I should do just fine. 4.7, 3.5" Lift, JKS QD's, no rear sway, Rear D44A w/ vari-lok, Front D30 w/ vari-lok, t-case and gas skid, no rock sliders yet so I'll have to be careful, but I'll push it to the limits.

i was trying to see if the guys that orginally wanted to head to antioch were still up for it. but they stopped talking. if still up for it though

Yeah, I've been wanting to test out the new lift badly!! I actually have some work to do to the Jeep this weekend. My t-case or front drive shaft is giving me some ****. Plan on tearing into it on sat but maybe next weekend. I'll keep you posted. How much notice do you need?? I tend to do things spur of the moment.

Were you talking about Loon Lake or doin' some local wheeling in Antioch? I'm up for both or either! Let me know. From the mods and lift you have on your TJ, I won't be able to go every where you can, but I'll try to keep up. I have tow hooks but I haven't picked up a tow strap yet. I can't imagine anything being to tough in antioch? Is it?

Cant do it at night as I got dinner planned, hey quick question.. where do you go hunting? I've have only gone once and me and my dad want to plan another trip again, maybe for deer this time but wouldnt mind another pig.

This weekend was bad for me. Family / workin on the jeep. My t-case or front diff is giving me ****. Had family stuff to do yesterday and I'm about to tear into the jeep and pull my front drive shaft, diff cover, and try to figure out exactly whats binding up and makeing some weird noises.

I'm interested in some local wheeling and antioch isn't that far for me, maybe next weekend.

As for the Loon Lake, is this more of a guys weekend out or can the wifey come too? I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it for sure, but I'm trying to make it happen. Thats not long from now and with rent due on the 1st, I may not have the funds to play that weekend.

this year im going to d5. yesterday was opening season and it ends in november. you can still get a tag right now. about 35 bucks and it takes a week. im heading straight east on highway 88 near Caples lake. you should get a tag and go. october 9-14 is when im going

Its on oct 9th, we are fishing on the 9th and wheeling on the 10th, or whatever anyone wants to do. if you dont want to fish on friday or sunday, just grap a buddy and explore. ill be on cb channel 10, i will also put up a paper plate with the campsite numbers. here is the official link to the trip for future questions. hope to see you there.
