Looks like I'll have an opportunity to see how well my new mud terrains perform! Looks like rain thru Wednesday, then clearing with sunny skies Saturday. I was thinking a meet up time of 9:30AM at Walker Ridge Rd.
Billybooster, There is a nice campground at Indian Valley Reservoir you could camp at Friday night. Since we are going to go there anyways to air down and disco, use restrooms, etc. we could just meet you there. I'll try to find some info on the campground and if it's open. As far as Saturday night camping, we are gonna have to wing it. Do to the short notice, I have little time to secure a campsite, and am not totally sure where we will end up Saturday, so hope you don't mind camping on the fly! Elk Mt has several camp areas, and we may even make it to Lake Pillsbury which is full of camp areas.

Billybooster, here a link for camping Friday night at the Reservoir on the dam.
http://www.blm.gov/ca/st/en/fo/ukiah/indianvalley.html

Once you get on Walker Ridge road, follow it for a spell and turn left on Indian Valley Reservoir road and follow it to the dam. Camping is right by the dam.

From the dam (point A) we head around the east side of the lake to point "B". From here it gets a bit more interesting as we make an elevation climp up a fire trail, AKA: the rock garden.

It'll be a day trip for me, but a few others have stressed an interest in camping. I just don't know exactly where we will end up at the end of Saturday, but it'll be somewhere in the Mendo National Forest.
This link will kinda give you an idea of what's out there for camping. We'll be dead smack in the middle of all this.
