AND, for lunch - everyone make manifold burritos.... make a cold burrito with beanzm cheeze, ham if ya like, rice if ya like and stick it on your manifold.... it'll be nice and filling and ready for you when we stop!

You crack me up Billy! I'm not familiar with the area, but I'm sure droze or others can chime in to give you some camping ideas. Glad to see you might make this one!

You could camp at Philbrook lake which is near the trail head and meet with us there on saturday morning.

Philbrook reservoir you could use this to map a route.

Nice campsites near the lake there. I shall add you to the list.

4 to 1 gears are awesome you wont regret it. The only issue i have is its really slow going. I have been nicknamed the turtle since i only reach about 5mph in 3rd. That is of course not reving super high as you have to remember at a 1 to 1 ratio if your engine is spinning 2500rpm your t-case is at 10,000 rpm and to high of revs could lead to failure.

bobthetj03 has made me aware of a fire in the area so we will so how it plays out the next few days.

edit:

as it looks right now the fire isnt expected to be contained until aug 15th and from what i understand the highlakes area is closed to ohv at this time but i will get a confirmation on that tomorrow.

The high lakes area is remaining open and not being closed to public. The only restriction is no campfires in the area. There will probably be smoke in the area due to the fire i would imagine though.

If everyone is up for it we can still do the trip, wind conditions permitting since they could drive the fire that direction.
