Here is the info i put in the wrangler forum for anyone who is interested in the high lakes run.

ok so lets set and offical date of August 11th and do a day trip to high lakes in Lassen National Forrest. We can meet in paradise (site tbd) at 10am to start the day.

here is where it is on google maps to give everyone an idea.
https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q...ed=0CEYQ_AUoAg

I will head up the second weekend of july to run trails and give a better idea of what exactly everyone is in for. the trials are rated from moderate on the main road in areas to very difficult going off trail to some of the lakes. After i get a good day out there i will let everyone know how good of a trail it is for stock jeeps although im sure they could be spotted though some of the moderate areas, i want to get a good look at the trail system before we all get out and is not fun for all.

videos of the trail can be found at this link with a breif description of what to expect will expand on this on july 6-7th after i run the trails as i will be camping in the area with some fellow jeepers from chico.

Gentry Off Road - California - Lassen National Forest - High Lakes - By whokrz

there is tons of trails up in that area and should be a fun time for all who make it out

here is another link posted bye gene13 on WF

http://www.friendsofthehighlakes.com/lakes.shtml

Some great info.

I will have many pics after the weekend scout and hopefully a few vids if my bro can make it. I will also post a full trail report.

and bobthetj03 i will make a list on this board and combine the list's just for you

Just returned from high lakes. I need to say it was a blast. I will be uploading pics and a couple videos in a bit here just taking a break.

The main trail was not bad could run most of it in 2wd there are some more difficult parts however all but one have bypasses and the one with no bypass has plenty of rockst to stack looks like people have been doing it for a long time.

didnt get though every trail just ran out of time. there are a couple trails with more difficult parts and the lakes area amazing. I could have gotten to more trails but morris lake was to tempting and couldnt pass it up and thats where the guys were camping so no real choice.

I will get the pics up and give a better description later this evening. Also re prepared for dust alot of it.

No 40 head yet. The last head i pulled at the junkyard needed valve seats. The shop hut he water jacket, killed the head! So they got me a new one. Im still assembling parts. Need cps, fuel pump, exhaust manifold. And then i can get to thinning the harness! None of which i feel should be in this thread!

Camping this time hopefully with my lady
