That would work for me, I won't have pack all that crap. Plus I have a place to stay anyway. How long is the trail?

It's new to me as well. You gotta take Hwy 70 past Oroville to get to the south entrance of the trail. I'm hoping to start a caravan that will meet at Williams off I5.

Hey everyone. New to the forum here, I am trying to pull the run together and just wanted to stop in this forum and introduce myself.

I will be going up and doing a scouting run next weekend of the entire trail and will post pictures when i return next monday so everyone here that is interested can see, I will also give a description of the trail which i will try to give detailed info about since i will be there for 3 days with some friends camping. I have been up once for a snow run just to the 1st lake and the area is beautiful. There will also be a couple local jeepers from the area joining us who have run the trail a few times to help guide if anyone needs it.

i'll try and keep everyone updated on this thread now as well and see where it goes from here

It is a bit of a drive but it'll be fun as hell and for camping I will not be as of right now, but things can change.

If anyone wants to camp that can be arranged there are many places out there to do so. camping is kinda my thing so i have no problem with that at all. I would have to lead the team out then return afterward, but philbrook lake at the trail head has lots of camping and great fishing.

campfire, bbq and fishing. are always some good weekend fun.

Thanks for joining us on JF droze. Sounds like we have the makings of another "epic" run! It can be a bit challenging keeping track on both forums, but it's doable, lol! If there's anything I can do to help, let me know. As most of "the crew" know by now, I'm good at "lists", lol!

Also i want anyone that plans on joining us from the sacramento area if they would like we can meet up at the bestbuy parking lot in roseville at 8 and caravan up to paradise.

When i am there this coming weekend i am also going to look at the cvs and safeway lots and see whats there and will post up the best meeting spot when i return.

from what i have heard from talking with people from the area who run this trail often it can be an epic trail with wheeling of all levels.

I am thinking I will be in for this one. I guess it depends on the Hollister run and if I break something.
