Maybe we could predetermine some meetup spots along the way for folks to join the caravan if there is enough people interested. Do rolling stops at strategic locations along the way. My wifes sports car club does this on their runs and it works well. Thoughts?

Yeah I was expecting to do something like that anyway. We used to do the same thing in the military vehicle club I was in. So far though we only have a stop in San Jose. I don't think Billy will be going. It sounds like he is gearing up for a 4.0 head conversion on his "8"

Sucks that Billy won't make it. That probably explains why I haven't heard from him on the Knoxville run as well. Maybe if we get some folks from the Sac valley or American Canyon area interested we can make a rolling stop somewhere just before the Gate.

Basically, you pick a spot to meet at, preferrably a parking lot or gas station, and a time, roll into said spot but don't actually stop. The folks waiting for you just fire up and join in and you roll on out.

Cj

Well I am assuming billy is not going to either Knoxville or Hollister. I was posting to a thread on the CJ forum last night with him. About details for a 4.0 head swap on his rig. It sounded like he was ready to start rocking on it.

I was planning a stop in Novato for the guys coming from the Vallejo/Napa area just south of 37 and most likely one in southern Marin (billy's neck of the woods). But since billy is the only one i know of in Marin so far. We might not need a stop in the Mill Valley area.

That's what I love about the CJ! All the cool posibilities with engine mods! I like how you (and Billy) are sticking with the inline 6! Maybe I'll send Billy a PM and see if he can make the Knoxvile run.

My ex-brother in law has 3 CJ8's.
Here is a couple of pix of his hunting Scrambler. These were taken a few years ago. It still looks the same but he does not use it much any more.

That looks great.

On another note, I think my buddies and I will be heading down earlier. We're going to try and get there by 9:00. I'll hopefully see you guys down there.
