I've declared this week my personal Jeep Week. Besides work, I plan on doing as much as I can to my rig this week after work until dark every day, just to get as much knocked out as I can. I've got my whole front end out and started cleaning it up for paint today. Already got my shackles, diff slider, leafs, spring plates, and u-bolts painted. I've got to get some de-greaser for the axle and clean it up before paint. I've spent over $50 on paint for everything already I need to do ball joints, so I might as well do them at the same time. Painted my calipers yesterday too (probably the only Wrangler owner OCD enough to paint them ), cleaned up all the bolt heads/nuts so they look nice and new. I need to get a ton of fluids (gear oil, atf, motor oil), a new battery, and a few other odds and ends.
Ordering my disk brake kit and new axle shafts for the 9" tomorrow too
My pocket book and bank account are with each other, but my Jeep is saying And it feels good to be getting so much done

I ran along side Lance (Or attempted to) when the Amgen Tour of California went by my street earlier this year
There was so many damn bikes going by at once, along with the team vehicles, I could barely even try to run with them. They get some serious speed in the flats...
And Levi is from my city
speaking of Lance Armstrong, his small part in the movie "Dodgeball" always makes me laugh

Just got back home!!!!! Nope i didnt take the jeep on this trip even though i wish i had. The wife didnt want to and it rain pretty good one afternoon while we were up there. It was a good little break from the city, but im not at all happy about being back in this damn heat here in lodi (97f). I also went fishing at caples lake and caught three brown trout and a rainbow while tossing kastmasters and blue fox's over by the damn. I wish i was still up there!!!! But oh well gotta go to work to pay for the bills as you all know. And i also saw the turn off to PI PI valley off of 88 and its not to far so thats a plus.

They must have filled Caples lake back up? In September it was almost totally drained, was a crazy sight to see it almost dry. I never even bothered to look at it when I drove by when I went boarding at the wood this last season.

Last week I went wheeling/camping and it was the first time I towed my trailer while wheeling. If it wasn't for all the racket the pendle hitch was making, I wouldn't even know it's there. We went out to the Pierce OHV near Eagle Lakes/Fordyce. It's a great place to camp with moderate to hard wheeling all around, fishing, swimming, and whatever else you do in the woods.
Next time I head out there, I'll post up and see if anybody wants to go.
