New Tahoe Area Jeep Club.....?

I'm interested in starting a new Tahoe area jeep club. Anybody who's interested in starting this project with me, or just wants to join in, please contact me. My name's Ben, I live in South Lake Tahoe, and work up at Kirkwood. My girlfriend and I both own '95 YJ's. I'm just lookin to get some jeeps (or whatever) together to run some trails and have some fun. Shoot me off an e-mail, or just respond to the thread. Cheers!

My sister lives next to the lake in Incline Village. Too bad she's not a Jeeper.

Next time I'm up that way, I'll see if you have a run scheduled.

check out forum user MichaelW. he is a member of Nevada Backroaders, as I am, but he lives up in Carson City, not far from Tahoe. I know there's a club up there that wheels in some neat areas.

drives a way cool JK, too.

Cj

I'm half moved to South Lake Tahoe from Long Beach. Should be there full time by April I hope. My CJ7 is still basically stock, but by spring/early summer it should at least be able to handle moderate trails. I was going to check out the Lake Tahoe HiLos club as well when up there full time.

Anything ever happen with this? I was thinking about starting a group geared more towards stockers for some non-extreme 4x4'ers. But if someone's got something going already, I'd rather not do the legwork.

I have a stock '08 Wrangler Unlimited - I plan to do some minor upgrades, but nothing too crazy. I'm not interested in groups hosting runs that claim "body damage likely" or "we're the most extreme rock crawlers in the state" (hey, it's brand new!) but I would love to do some challenging trails and see some of the stunning vistas available in the Reno/Tahoe area.

The Reno area has a couple Jeep clubs both have stock rigs to rockcrawlers and you will find people doing something all the time. Just watch for a run that suits you. Come on out and meet some fellow wheelers.

Reno4x4.com - Meet the first day of each month.
Hillsangels4x4.com - Meet the third Thursday of each month.
