Yj n00b question

Looking to take a weekend wheeling trip in my YJ. Camping, etc. Problem is, I have zero experience in the dirt. Any groups/clubs around LA going out any time soon who wouldn't mind me hanging out/tagging along?

we have a run we just organized next weekend (20th) up to last chance canyon, it's about 2 hours from us LA folk. There's a thread about it, post up and tag along!

Suposedly the trail is pretty moderate, with bypasses on everything so novice wheelers shouldn't have any issues.

I'm not in LA area but a few people that we jeep with are. We hang out in the roll call LA thread. We have a day run planned for the 20th going to Last Chance Canyon, and Nightmare Gulch. That would be a easy run for you to start out on. There's bypasses for the few obstacles there so if there's any sections your not comfortable with you can just drive right around them.

Forgive the self bump, but I'm still looking for a good place/time to try wheeling. Difference is that now I'm in a stock JKU, saving up for a mild build.
