It's a pretty remote area, so I would imagine dogs are ok. I'll be passing thru there later this month, so I'll check for signage.

Found this photo from last years trip. It's a lousy picture, so the sign is hard to read, but I think the first rule on the board says "No dogs off leash". I think.

Yep. Saw plenty of elk on the way thru. Did you stop here?

Didn't stop there. Is that the State Park at the North end of Usal Rd?

Yes. Once you get back on pavement Briceland Thorn Rd. is on the left. Take it to the coastline to the park.

Oh man, wish I knew about this. Usal Beach is awesome.

I ran it last year with some NAXJA guys. Easy trail, but it takes a while, and is well worth it.

We ran into a downed tree, and had to winch it out. It was obviously hacked down. We went in October, and that is when people harvest the "mendo green"

I work on Mopars

Yep. The ***heads will sometimes try to deter people from going thru by downing trees across the trail. These were two we were luckily able to sneek thru last years run.

This one is on my list of trails to run, it would be a good one to take the family on. Cool pictures!

A local favorite. I've only been on some of the northern section.
