This will be a snow run (Weather Permitting) that would start in Georgetown and then head out to Loon Lake. We would take Wentworth Springs Rd. The whole trip would be paved but with any luck it will be covered in snow. I did this trip Last year and it took us no time to get to Stumpy Meadows Lake, but once past the dam we were on snow the rest of the way.
This would be open to anyone and everyone. It will not be a hardcore or anything. When we went there was like 9 jeeps and everyone but two got stuck.
I was thinking the 26 of January 2013 for this run, but this date can be changed if we need it to be.

------Update run is now the 19 of January --------

Departure time - 9AM, Meet up at Georgetown Market between 830 and 9AM.
Location: Georgetown Market., one block east of the Main St./Wentworth Springs Rd. intersection with Hwy 193

This will be a "go as far as we can get and then turn around" type of run. Everyone is welcome, but I do suggest you bring a recovery strap and have both front and rear recovery points as there will probably be lots of recovering going on. Bring a lunch and snacks + water. You can purchase sandwiches at the market for your lunch as well

Who plans on stopping at Uncle Toms? They would like some kind of head count so they can prepare for us. I will post up a "yes or no" after your name to let them know.

Disclaimer:

I am a jeep enthusiast that likes to plan these little adventures. I am not part of any club, organization or sanctioned event. This trail run is a "enter at your own risk" run. I will not be held responsible for any lost or stolen stuff, damage to your jeep or equipment, etc. I will, however, honor the "jeepers code". Everyone who goes in goes out! I will try to provide as much intel as I can so that you can make a informed decision as to whether you would like to attend or not. Nuff said! Now, let's get out there and enjoy what nature has to offer us, make some new friends, and have some fun with our Jeeps!

I'm in as long as it's not Sunday the 6th or the weekend of the 12th/13th. 6th is our puppy's last puppy class and the next weekend a bunch of family stuff going on.

Sounds great! That gives me a target date for getting the Battery and alternator replaced.

HOWEVER the 10th,11th and 12th of January is the Sportsman's Expo in Sacramento!

That and the Fly Fishing Expo on Feb 22nd, 23rd and 24th in Pleasanton. I can't bring myself to miss.

Ok how does the 19th sound to everyone? like I said the date wasn't set yet. Plus we got great news from the Dr. today, so with any luck the wife will be on this run.
