did you go from 88 down? I was just wondering because I ran it north to south around a month ago solo and ran up on a group just before the gates right at dark. just wondering if that was your group.

I' ve read that Signal Peak is easy up the east slope, but much more difficult from the west end. What are your thoughts?

i assume you are asking me about my deer valley trip, yea, we went from 88 down to 4, and took 4 home.... we did start to turn around, but some guy in a yellow willys MB showed up and he had a winch so we went with him all the way down.

Am I just naive? The only way for me to know is go and see!?

On the other hand, I dont want to be the cripple in the group, always slowing everyone up and needing a strap.

My idea is to maybe tag along with others, just to see and go from there. I definately want to get out into the wilderness and also have alot of fun driving, and wheeling. A few battle scars wont deter me either.

If you are all sure that a stock jeep wont make it on any trails you usually visit, then let me know what minimum requirements you suggest.
I did dear creek in a stock Tacoma 3 years ago with out damage. it can be paced and done. the only hard part is the exit. dont have any non armor items hanging down(IE: TJ plastic steps I ripped one off) between your wheels
