I ran it twice this year. both times Starting on Strawberry trail then camping at the top of Slick rock trail then running slick rock in the morning.
Lets set a spring trip. for these! they are good shake down trails prior to the rubicon

I have a stock WJ 4.7 and my sis has a 4.0 WJ.

I would surely like to meet up and trail. I was in South Lake last weekend and really wanted to take some trails in the snow.

I have never wheeled yet, so we would need to be broken in. I see from CAjeepers that there are a few good choices off HWY 50.

I am about 2 hours from SAC (near the coast)

PM me and lets keep in touch!

PM me. Give a couple days notice? We all could subscribe to this thread and post the plans. We will all get e-mails about the heads up.

Great.. now when I go wheeling, Ill need to mod the Jeep. No more mall crawlin. I wonder if the wife will mind some battle scars on her show truck? heh

Seems that almost all the trails at californiajeeper are rated as "any 4X4"

Am I just naive? The only way for me to know is go and see!?

On the other hand, I dont want to be the cripple in the group, always slowing everyone up and needing a strap.

My idea is to maybe tag along with others, just to see and go from there. I definately want to get out into the wilderness and also have alot of fun driving, and wheeling. A few battle scars wont deter me either.

If you are all sure that a stock jeep wont make it on any trails you usually visit, then let me know what minimum requirements you suggest.

Any of you do snow runs? Spring rock crawling sounds fun but I'm hoping to hit the snow. Until February, I can't make any definite plans but If any of you have a trip planned and don't mind someone joining in the last minute, pm me.

I've been a member of CA4WDC for many years, and we have several clubs in the Sac area. In fact, since I work at one of the local 4wd stores, I can put you in contact with the clubs here. I know several members of WeBilt 4wd club out of Rocklin, where my store is. Thanks Ron
