the trail doesn't really loop around so if you're ok with going back thru the whole trail again to get back to the suburban......am i correct in saying that gary? he would have to go back thru the whole trail to get back to it?

OK here is what I can add to the conversation regarding gas.

On hwy 14 at Jawbone Canyon is the, wait for it, Jawbone Canyon Store. The store is before the Randsburg/Garlock turn off. You could park the burb outside of the fence and be just fine. They do sell fuel and it is spendy.
On hwy 395 in Johannesburg is another gas station and you can park there as well.

Hope this helps!

OOPPSS forgot this, When you come out of Nightmare you will be right at hwy 14, hang a left and your headed back towards LA, continue straight for LA or go left on Randsburg/Garlock road and take it back to hwy 395.

Haven't been on Nightmare gulch myself but from putting around the area some I figured he could grab a trail shooting North like I did last time? I'm cool with coming back out the same way we go in though. Do you remember where the trail lets out? Does it come out on 14? If it does we could just as easy take 14 back to the Garlock cuttoff?

I may take the toy hauler out there in Feb when Mojave Dave goes? I've heard of more trails in that area, including one that starts north of the 14 and goes over the mountain into Kernville area.

You'll be ok,he's messing with you. If a obstacle looks like it could do damage just go around it. Nothing wrong with that. However you should put rock sliders at the top of your list.

OK for those of you who have NOT been thru LLC and NMG here is a little something to wet your appetite. I did this same run back in September with a group from the Wrangler forum. A good time was had by all!

The pics and videos after the run start on page 13, enjoy!
