Johnson Valley Help

A group of us will be heading to Johnson Valley in late February. From there, we'll head towards the Mojave Road.

We've never been in JV before, and we're really not that familiar with this area of the world. The plan is to look around the Hammers (not really interested in going through any of the Hammers), and then head North and East. However, the maps say that some of the trails run through 29 Palms.

Is the military area fenced and posted? Can we continue North and East without having an Apache helicopter chasing us?

Lemme know.

Gotta get down to the Cumberland Mine
That's where I mainly spend my time

Made any more, I might move away
