It's 28" X 32". I can build another one the same size and still have room. Don't want too much weight up there though. Don't want more than 100lbs up there. I originally built the basket to fit behind the spare tire carrier, so I kept it small. I haven't devised a mount yet for rear gate. That'll be the next project.

Jimbob....I was thinking the same thing, that that size rack would be good behind the spare tire. When you say "behind the spare tire" do you mean for it to come out of the center of the rim of the spare then stick out behind the spare? I was thinking that might be my next project for another small rack, for an ice chest or a deer or pig.

Something like this but maybe a little smaller. You don't want to put a lot of weight on the spare tire mount.

Yes, something of that nature. I picked up another find yesterday that might add to my plans of storage for the rear gate.

I found one on craigslist with the spout. It had some rust in the bottom of it, so I offered him $10.00 for it and he took it. There is a place in town that will clean the insides out of rust etc. and also do some sort of acid wash to the inside also, making it supper clean so you don't get rust flakes in your gas tank.

Here is a Jeep trailer if anyone is looking for one. Looks like its in pretty good shape and ready to take camping. Good price on it too.

That's a Bantam T3-C just like mine. Well worth the $700 if there is minimal rust. They are getting hard to find now a days.

Wow I was not aware everybody is after those 5 gal gas cans. I just sold off the ones I had at a swap meet in sac town. two military cans, 2 civilian cans, a flex spout small enough to get past the flapper, 2 military holders, and a couple of lockable steel strap sets.

The gas can was hanging out under my Father-in-Law's house. It's in ok shape, but needs some TLC. I'm gonna take it to Schnabls Inc and have him clean it and strip it. then I'll paint it OD and figure out a mount to place it behind my spare tire.

That's where I took my gas can to get cleaned out.
