Just chiming in on this thread. Surprised I never saw it before. I'm pretty active in the San Diego thread and wheel with those guys often.
I'm in the Temecula/Murrieta area. I'll keep checking in to see about any upcoming get togethers from you locals.
I'm more into the adventure/exploring type wheeling rather than just crawling around on rocks. I hate mud. That said, I do go up to Big Bear often and run everything up there. Anza Borrego/Pinion Mountain Trail is one of my favorites too.

Sorry for the delay. I'm not on here nearly often enough. I'm at Moss Bros. in Riverside.

You know Bill?

A lot of people down there don't seem to be into jeeps like the people here are. I should really say as the YJ tech is. So maybe that's why.

Adopt your pets. Don't shop for them.

Looks like it is working fine.
Since I live between Palmdale, and El Mirage, I am usually tooling around in the El Paso's,
or out in the lower Sierra's.

Hey Steve, I was out running around the Southern Sierra's every weekend for a month straight. I was in my new truck though lol. I was looking at property in Onyx, Weldon, up in the mountains above Sageland. Pretty neat area. Have you ever ran that Chimney Peak Trail over to Kennedy Meadows?

Hey Hotshot;

No, Chimney Peak has been one of the ones i have not run. It seemed every time I had a trip going up there, it was either closed for fire, or some kind of maintenance. I usually go over the the Kern side, and then up the Sherman pass to Cherry Creek Road. ( about 6 miles above the river), then go south to Big Meadow, or camp at Horse Meadow. LOTS of small creeks up there, and the Salmon Creek runs right thru Horse Meadows Campground. I even caught a few trout in the creek, with out even leaving my campsite!
Cannell Meadows, and a trail to the top from Big Meadow goes up a peak I cannot remember for the life of me!
Of course the trails out to Monache, and Bakeoven, as well as the Rattlesnake trail are fun ones too!
