Favorite Norcal 4x4 Camping Trips/Trails

Just got the Jeep fixed up and am starting to plan summer trips. Thinking Shaver Lake area because we love fishing, hunting, rock climbing and wheeling around in the Jeeps. What's your favorite trail to do some off-road camping? Could use some suggestions.

Thanks!

X2...by far one of my favorite spots. I also love Hermit Valley Campground (beginning of Deer Valley Trail).

Eagle Lakes (off i-80) is an awesome place to camp as well.

Spicer Lake is one of my favorites up near bear valley. My former inlaws have a cabin up there but it didn't stop me from pitching a tent a few miles down the road.
