33RD ANNUAL DESERT RUN!! MEANS DRY LAKE OCTOBER 5th, 6th, and 7th

33RD ANUAL MORONGO BASIN DESERT RUN!

Organized by the Morongo Basin Search and Rescue.

The Desert run is a 4-wheel drive course that's approximately 15-20 miles with game playing stations along the way. You will encounter rocks, washes, hills and some more extreme obstacles for the more hardcore enthusiast. There are easy routes around all obstacles. The event is co-sponsered by the Bureau of Land Management. Fully Catered by Willie Boys.

LOCATION:

Means dry lake Johnson Valley, CA

Base camp has changed since last year. Take Highway 247 north from Highway 62 in Yucca Valley. East turn on Boone Road which is about 19 miles north from highway 62. From Boone Road just follow the signs to Base Camp.

Rules and Regs:

This is a Family event not a race! So bring everyone.

motorcycles, quads, rails, and atvs must have current green or red off road sticker that are current and all riders must be wearing helmets at all times. No Alcohol, firearms or fireworks allowed.

Schedule:

The 5th will be Camp set up, registration and vendor displays, t-shirt booth and food!

The 6th
-registration will be available still.
-food booth open
-7am drivers briefing
-8am starting line opens
-10am starting line closes
-6-8pm trophy presentation and prize giveaway.

go to the website for more information. Entry money goes to the morongo basin search and rescue which is a non-profit volunteer organization with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Dept. The money is used to purchase new equipment and allows for the unit to train for Search and Rescue events.

Took my 10 year old son last year. We had a good time. I'm looking to finish my V8 conversion in time to go again this year.
