I'm not sure what CG is but I believe we are getting a trail run together for that date at cougar buttes hence the "Cougar Buttes trail run Feb 4th" title

good to hear, now that we are back on track... are you familiar with that area because we are lacking a trail leader.

A couple of ideas, I think most the people will be coming up from down the hill so maybe meet at the truckstop again? Or we could meet up at the Valero gas station in Lucerne Valley?
How about Heros on OWS. Just before landers. I would like to join you guys. I'm in a stocker but have been going out there for years now and know how to get from A to B without issues out there.

Gactech, come out and lead us through the trail. We were there 3 or 4 weeks ago and all the markers were knocked down. Meeting in Landers would mean many of us would have to double back to get to Cougar Buttes. How about The Gas station in Lucerne, or even the park by the fire station?

Although I haven't had to be yet , there is no shame in being winched. A winch should be the first accessory a jeep owner buys. If not for pulling yourself out, for pulling a buddy out.

I've had to winch myself a few times, no shame in my game! I've needed a tug a few times too. The way I see it, if you need to try more than a few times to get up something, just get a tug if someone is in front of you, or winch up it instead of holding up the line if I'm in a good sized group And then there's times where you are just plane stuck, can't go forwards or backwards, time to winch or ask for a tug!
