Cougar Buttes trail run Feb 4th

I am starting this thread to get an idea of who we can get to go on a trail run to Cougar Buttes on February 4, 2012. Let's start up the conversation on where everybody would like to meet and at what time etc...

I'm pretty sure I could go. Though I would only want to go if there's someone who is familiar with the area on board, easy to get lost out there

Having a trail leader there would be cool but I'll go either way. There's so much to crawl out there it's bound to be a good time.

A couple of ideas, I think most the people will be coming up from down the hill so maybe meet at the truckstop again? Or we could meet up at the Valero gas station in Lucerne Valley?

I'm up for meeting anywhere.....early in the morning preferably......probably just going to be a day trip for me....no camping here. Maybe you guys can ask some of your buddies from myjeeprocks that may know the area to join us?

same here, just a day trip for me.

I'll post up on MJR, see if anyone there is interested in going, who know the area.

fill out your profile, and maybe we can advise

CB has some pretty tricky stuff if your jeep is stock or not modified much. There are bypasses on some of the tricky spots, but not all of them if I remember correctly.

With everything going on just down the road in Johnson Valley for King of the Hammers that weekend, do you think Cougar Buttes is going to busier than normal?
