Corral Canyon Saturday Jan. 26th

Hey guys, I'm from San Diego and would like to drive out to Corral Canyon OHV in Campo California, Saturday January 26th. It's been a few months and a few mods to the YJ since I've been out there.

If anyone is interested in heading out there to have some fun on the trails, I'm planning on leaving Kearny Mesa area around 11am. Will be bringing trail and recovery gear, a small grill, some burgers and dogs along a couple of friends with their trucks.

PM me if you're interested in going!

Thinking about a trip out there next week

No one was able to make it with a jeep. My other friends with their trucks bailed as well. I ended up going with a few coworkers and gf to Lake Morena near by and getting a log cabin over night. It was awesome!

Favorite one, moon light was the only lighting source, completely unedited.

PM me and let me know when you're going, I'll join you. I was going to start my interior herculiner this weekend, but I"m sure the jeep will be ready by next.

What's the story on the cabin? Where and how much?

Check in over here, if you haven't already.

Thanks for the link man, I totally missed that section of the forum. No wonder no one replied to my thread

The cabin is awesome, it's at the lake Morena near by (15 min from corral OHV) $50 a night includes heat and electricity. Well worth the $50...

If you're interested, my wife and I are planning to head out there tomorrow to do some wheeling. The amount of wheeling we do really depends on how much it continues to rain today. Either way, we are heading out there to let the pups run around. We would be happy to help you test out some of those mods.....so you're not out there alone.

Totally missed this, just read it now. Thanks for the invite I would, but the jeep is in a middle of getting bedliner sprayed inside the tub. Interior is in pieces and will be out of order for the next couple of weeks...

No worries. I will be lining the front half of mine this spring. I lined the back half two years ago and have been avoiding disassembly of the front ever since. LOL!

Nice! Man, it takes so much longer to grind the glue and all the crap off than I anticipated. Made some progress though..

Anyone going out there for the 3 day weekend? I'm thinking of going out Monday morning to hit up some trails at Corral

I'm actually available either day. Thought GF and I had a date this Saturday, but it's open to either day as well. Pls let me know what works better for you guys.

I'll bring recovery gear, some snacks, go-pro camera, flat repair kit, tools, etc.. Not sure who's coming with me just yet. Either GF or friend or two, maybe another vehicle as well.

Its supposed to be ridiculously windy fri/sat, so lets stick to Sunday! I'm thinking about leaving RB about 8, which puts us at 4corners around 9:00-9:15. I stop, air down and disconnect just after making the right turn onto Morena Valley Spring Rd. it makes the rest of the ride much easier! LOL! If you want to meet earlier, or later, let me know! I guess we should post this up as its own thread.

I will bring my camera, snacks, water, recovery gear, tools...the usual stuff. I know there are some guys from "other forums" that want to go, so I will post up there as well.

Not too late. It gets cold after the sun goes down and I don't like driving without the top in the cold. I would say, wrapped up and leaving no later than 3 for us. Do you need earlier?
