It's about 30 minutes north of where the 10 and 215 freeways meet. For you, I'm thinking you would take the 210 to the 15 North, I think it would take you around 90 minutes or so but not sure. It's the Cleghorn exit off of the 15.

I used to live in Sunland! I lived there for about 4 years, left around 2004.

Let me know if that's too far or not. Should be a fun day.

Do you have a Wrangler or some other Jeep?

I've got an '88 XJ that I just picked up about a month ago.
I'm having some work done tomorrow on it.
This would be my first trip out.

This would be a good test run. Cleghorn is moderate difficulty areas, but nothing too hard. It's basically a fire road that intersects with a bunch of spurs. Some of the spurs have some hard stuff, but everything can be bypassed by staying on the fire road.

I've done it many times, usually take every spur.

It can be done in a stock 4x4, but ground clearance is helpful in many areas. Side rails would be recommended, but many have done it without any armor at all. It was my first off road trip ever and I did it completely stock with only some minor pin stripes.

Well I'm hoping it all gets fixed tomorrow, brake issue.
Ill be doing a quick drive Saturday to make sure it can handle the drive.
If everything goes good then ill make the run on Monday.

The XJ does have a 3" lift w31's and it has rocker guards already.

Yeah, you're more than good with that build.

I'll be gone most of the weekend starting tomorrow, but will still have access through my phone. Hope you can make it!
