El Mirage is kind of a zoo on the weekend since it became a park. I just putt around the West and North boundaries of it for an occasional day trip. You rarely see another Jeep out there.

Last time I went there it was a ghost town, a few dirt bikers but no wheelers, my buddy and I had what seemed like the whole place to ourselves. The trail up to the Crow's nest is nice, Snoopy's gulch is fun, but there really isn't anything else that makes $15 worth it. My buddy had just gotten his buggy and wanted to open it up on the lake bed, that was a blast and alot smoother than Means Dry Lake

The last time you were there was there a fee to get in? And was that on a weekend? Seems like since they started charging it fills up on the weekends.

Yeah it was $15 to get in and it was a saturday, the vehicle trails are at the north end of the park, seemed like most that were there hung out nearer to the entrance

Hmm, When I was there last with the quads it was a zoo. I must of been there on a busy weekend.couldn't even breath with all the quads, bikes, and side by sides that were there kicking up dust. I think I took one of the trails there that you mentioned but I was on my quad? It was on the north west side of the park. Pretty much all rock?

I'll be running Rowher Flats this sunday (3/25). Meeting for breakfast at 8:30 in Palmdale, should put us at the trailhead off of Bouquet Cyn Rd (across from the reservoir) 10/10:30. Post up if anyone's interested in going. And I can give more details.

If I wasn't going to Calico the following weekend I'd go with you guys. Need to spend next weekend getting the truck and trailer ready. Maybe next time.

Saw two nice YJs in Lancaster today. One was white with a black bikini top. The other was red with a black soft top and 4 off road lights above the windshield. Either of those belong to any of you guys?

Hopefully my YJ will be seen around town before too long... I just found a friend of a friend with a tube bender, so I can get my fenders done and get my four angry squirrels on the road and on the trail.
