Tj 4x4 shops in SoCal??

I was wondering if any of you could point me in the right direction in terms of a good 4x4 shop. I need a 1.25" JKS body lift installed on my '03 TJ Sport. I tried 4WD Parts in Santa Ana but they said that since I already have a 2.5" suspension lift on my rig, installing a body lift would be considered "stacking" and would go against their policy.

If someone could tell me where to go, or would like to help me, I'd really appreciate it. Oh, and if you do help me, I will supply the tools, food, and of course I will pay you! I would prefer someone that has installed a body lift on a Wrangler before, though.

In San Diego, we have ORW (Off Road Warehouse), MIT, and 4WheelParts. If you look in the San Diego thread, the guys have regular wrenching parties...so you might get in on that...I don't think they have any policies about stacking...just some policies about bringing really good beer and pizza/wings or something...and Hooters girls to deliver them... ORW has 3 locations - the one furthest north is in Escondido. I know for a fact ORW has no problem doing body lifts with suspension lifts... I like the Balboa location.

There's a new ORW in Temecula now.

If you were out here, there are ton's of places that would do it.
Orange county should have plenty of off road shops. If it's still there (been a while since I lived in the OC) there was a pretty big off road shop on Beach Blvd north of the 22 on the west side of the street.

Good luck.

I'd suggest ORW any day. I go to the one over on Balboa and their staff and service can't be beat.

but as Poobah said, its just a body lift. Check out a local wrenching party to get it put in

Alright, I set up an appointment with ORW to do my t-case linkage install and my body lift. $280 isn't too bad. One place quoted me $500 for just the body lift and he wanted me to do the radiator modifications myself.

Good price. You won't be disappointed with ORW.

I have dealt with Frank @ South Bay 4x4, he rebuilt my trans-case.. and gave me a fair deal on some other work as well... He's a small shop and the work he did for me was spot on..

Give Mel a call & tell him Darren Sent you. He does some awsome builds. Just got my off road trailer back from him that he installed air bags with independent suspension, clean work.
