Oahu HELP!!!

Hey does anybody on Oahu know if the Northern Access to Kaena Point still open? I just cruised up the southern road and would love to try the northern, if its not locked shut. Only one day off to check it out!!!!!

I was out there at the end of September. The pavement ends just past the airport. You can drive down the very rutted dirt road for a couple miles. There is a gate about a mile before the point. You can walk the rest of the way. I rented a Jeep in Honolulu and spent two weeks camping on the beach at various state parks on the North Shore.

Oh man thanks for the heads up! The roads up there are crazy, a thousand little offshoots to check out. Needless to say, I had a good day!
