ANYONE in maui want to make some money and help out a fellow jeeper??

I do all my own work, very untrusting of random peoples.

My girl is in kahlui, picked up a 94 zj straight 6 auto, think the fuel pump is going out. not 100%, its either that or electrical.

either way I would like to find someone I can trust to help sort it, truck is solid otherwise.

Already have a 3 different pumps lined up, shell be buying some tools, including a fuel pressure gauge, electrical tape, rubber mallet, wire, sockets and wrenches and screwdrivers etc etc, and replacing the relays and checking for shorts.

just trying to get to the bottom of it so she has a reliable vehicle for the time she is there. this one just had a full tune, running well other than cutting out. holla if you wanna help.

If it's intermittent, I'm loathe to think it's the fuel pump. Usually when those go out they're out, totally gone.

Electrical it could be, as in if there's a crack in the wire it could be getting sporatic power and therefore cutting out.

Now if it's running for a bit then suddenly cuts out and stays cut out, I'd then start to suspect the fuel pump.

I'm thinking it's as simple as a fuel filter. There should be an in-line filter somewhere, change that quick fix and see what happens.
