That picture is inconclusive in proving that I was stuck; unless you have actual video of me being stuck I'll never admit to it...

On a more serious note: I had a blast today and can't wait to do it again sometime soon.

I'll try to get my 2 pictures up later.

JP and Ryan - any chance I can get a copy of that video you took? I'd really like to see that!

Quick run down of Saturday...

Left Dan's Ferry at 10am - raining

Turned off on Silver City Rd - not raining (woo hoo!)

Got about 1/4 way up the road - started raining ()

Somewhere near the signs described below it started snowing

Got about 200 yards past the "Road Closed" sign and "If you go past this sign and get stuck you will be responsible for search and rescue!" sign (or whatever it said) and "decided" to turn around because the snow was getting deep (rained most of the way down)

For the rest of the day the rain was on and off...

On Hwy 78 took a right

Took the first right after some canyon onto a trail that paralleled a reservoir. We took a little side road down to the reservoir and had some lunch. Right at the end of lunch the wind kicked up and it started raining again. We then followed that little road along the res. for a little bit then came back out on top. From there we headed home but not after running down the trail like the baja 1000...

As mentioned - I had a blast and can't wait to go again.

The road you took was to the Succor Creek Reservoir. Private Property but we have permission from Paul Nettleton(Joyce Ranch) to use that area. The road/trail above the reservoir goes about a mile or so and dead ends in the canyon.
Looks like the snow level was just about where I thought it would be. A few more weeks and the main road will be open. For the next month (after that) or so the drifts on War Eagle will be huge and fun.
